The Cormorant Freediving made the choice of modern and functional equipment, which provides the entire team and freedivers comfort, safety and efficiency during training sessions, making it easy for the team operators to work on the set-up and its facilities.
MAIN LINE BOAT
A resistant and comfortable main line boat, specially dedicated to performance, with a 14mm static line weighted by a 17kg bottom weight, and supporting a bottom camera, a stopper, and a bottom plate with tags.
This main line is linked to a 60kg counter ballast tested for a 1,3-1,5 m/s on the way up.
Authorized to the staff only, there’s a small place in the rear part of the main line boat dedicated to the athletes for them to stay focus a few minutes before their countdown and their dive.
BIG HD SCREEN SONAR
A big screen (15″) high definition sonar, of the last generation, with deep water transducer, is oriented toward the safeties for them to be able to see the charts in real time, and allow the Head of safety to react in short time, according interpretation.
DYNAMIC ANCHORING SYSTEM
The duo Minn Kota & Humminbird has been our best partner for years to anchor in a modern way, safely, without effort nor any damage to the seabed. Fast and stable, and for easy control, the Humminbird HD sonar is directly connected to the Minn Kota, a front electric motor.
HIGHT SPEED DIVING SCOOTER
SUEX SCOOTER
This scooter, with hight speed and long time autonomy battery, helps follow any freediver, especially in monofin. We use it for all the deep dives and for some specific tasks.
DEDICATED EVACUATION BOAT
We have a dedicated speed boat for evacuation.
All our boats are equipped with a VHF radio, and according to the Evacuation Plan (the POS, or emergency organization plan), in need of an evacuation, a precise protocol is ready to be triggered, in direct contact with the Emergency service of the hospital and the hyperbaric chamber doctors, the protocol having been established in collaboration with them for more efficiency.
